Epson's new 5-color plotters are ultra-precise, blazingly fast and easily scalable . . . and unlike thermal head plotters, the heads are permanent, not a consumable.  Choose from single or dual roll models.  Plus, with optional add-ins including a multifunction scanner, an internal print server, and a Adobe PostScript 3 engine, you can customize your Epson SureColor T-Series plotter the way you want it, when you want it - today and into the future.  Ideal for CAD, AEC, GIS, Scientific, plus general Poster/Photo printing.  Contact JVH for all the details.
Epson T-Series - ideal for screen film positives
These new printers are double the speed of Epson standard photo printers.  They have both Photo and Matte Black in them at the same time, plus with FilmMaker software, you can optionally kick in and print with both black inks at the same time to achieve denser blacks on film..  An added bonus is that you can use still the printer in standard 4-color mode for printing posters and other applications. With the standard Epson factory inks you won't wreck your printer writing head or cause warranty issues by using questionable third party goop.
T-Series are available in 24", 36", and 44" widths.  Check the latest rebates below.  We have a unit set up here at JVH if you would like to stop by and see for yourself what your files will look like printed on film on an Epson T-Series printer
 CadLink FilmMaker Software
Used by more screenprint professionals worldwide than any other inkjet film separation software, FilmMaker provides precisely screened, density rich films on a wide variety of commonly used inkjet printers of all sizes.  And if you would to and see what it can do for you. contact JVH for a free 30-day demo of the software.
Care & Feeding of Inkjet Printers
1. The single best thing you can do to keep your inkjet printer running smoothly is to keep the humidity between 40-60+%, especially when the printer is not running or stored for a period of time.  Epson and Canon routinely see nozzle clog issues increase dramatically during dry winter months and especially in places like the MidWest.  Where there is air conditioning and rooms with warm electronic equipment, the atmosphere can also easily become very dry.  Some solutions for you:
a) Buy a cheap $100 whole room ultrasonic digital humdifier at Costco.
b) If you are storing or not using the printer on a regular basis, put a cover on the printer and place a tray of water underneath the cover.  (An empty maintenance tank makes a nice tray.)  We also have hooked up with a company that makes covers for many models of inkjet printers.  Let us know if you are interested in a cover.

2. Most failures of inkjet printers are not the writing head, but instead the dampers or the capping station.  All inkjet printers "cap off" the head so it does not have ink drying on the head bottom, causing nozzle clogs.  It is not difficult to clean the capping station.  Give us a call and we will walk you through it.  If the rubber perimeter gasket on the capping station is dirty or has lost its integrity, all bets are off, because suction is lost, plus air can get in creating havoc.

3. If you are using Windex, ammonia or other home remedy for cleaning heads or capping station/wiper blade, be sure to do a final with distllled water.  All those other chemicals can corrode a head.

4. Always make sure you have the latest firmware installed in your printer which fixes bugs and other issues.  You can check the current firmware by going to front panel  Menu/Printer Status/Version.  Compare that number to the latest firmware revision on the printer manufacturer's site under Drivers & Downloads.  If yours is not current, download the latest and install.  It's pretty easy.  If you need help, contact JVH and we will walk you through it..

5. Always run a nozzle to check the nozzle status.  If necessary, run a Power Clean on the nozzle pairs affected.  A occasional power clean does not use that much ink and is virtually the only thing you may need to do to maintain your printer.
